Support in every phase

Innovation is a process that reaches from exploration and analysis of strategy development to the search for, assessment and development of ideas to prototyping and market introduction in several phases within and outside of the organisation. Pumacy supports each of these process steps with demand-oriented methods and tools to strengthen the company’s innovation capacity.

Analysis and strategy development

The innovation strategy is the compass to pioneering orientation and thus forms the foundation of any innovation activities and process steps. To be able to phrase a suitable innovation strategy and recommendation for action, we first need to determine, document and assess the overall situation regarding a company’s innovation capacity. We recommend two fields for action for this:

  • Innoplex „Innovation Profiler“:
    • Analysis of the current situation
    • Consideration of interfering factors
    • Identification of central innovation factors with a positive or negative influence
  • Roadmapping:
    • Workshops/expert interviews/document analysis for:
      • Innovation-critical responsibilities and roles
      • Processes and work processes
      • Evaluation of interdependencies
    • Illustration of the temporal relationships and mutual dependencies of
      • Products and technologies
      • Activities and targets

Search for ideas, assessment and development

We support you in the development of an individual idea management concept and consider present processes and communication infrastructures. Our method comprises the entire idea management process, including collection, further development, assessment, gratification and reuse of ideas. We will quickly enable you to introduce efficient idea management from development to your concept to implementation.

  • Creativity trainings and workshops: our five-step concept
    • Phase 1: Optimum – Identification and specification of the best state under the current framework conditions
    • Phase 2: Demand analysis – Identification, structuring and priorisation of the innovation projects
    • Phase 3: Imagination – Creation of ideas by systematic (TRIZ) and intuitive methods (e.g. Walt Disney, gallery method) and subsequent recombination of the ideas
    • Phase 4: Reality – Assessment according to individually coordinated criteria catalogues and specification of the ideas from the imagination phase
    • Phase 5: Transformation – Development of an action plan for implementation of selected ideas
  • Software-supported idea management in the KMmaster: targeted management of ideas within your organisation, connected to knowledge management subjects such as Lessons Learned or Communities of Practice

Prototyping and market introduction

Ideas that have turned out positively in idea assessment are released for the construction of a prototype. If this prototype passes the test phase as well, it is brought to serial maturity.

  • Market potential analysis: estimation of the market potential regarding the developed prototype
  • Enovia V6 support of a networked Product Lifecycle Management for efficient prototype development
