Airbus relies on knowledge management competencies provided by CIMPA and Pumacy

CIMPA and PUMACY have been selected to support the AIRBUS Knowledge Management in France, Germany, the U.K. and Spain.

The AIRBUS knowledge management portfolio is known as one of the most sophisticated programmes of this kind in Europe. The sharing of knowledge from current product programmes with an average product life cycle of more than 30 years and a strong requirement for latest innovations are huge challenges for knowledge management solution providers.

AIRBUS subsidiary CIMPA and the medium sized knowledge management solution provider PUMACY have been selected to deliver their services to the central AIRBUS Knowledge Management division and to support knowledge management activities in France, Germany, the U.K. and Spain. Over the next one and a half years an interdisciplinary team of engineers, business economists and IT specialists works together with psychologists, communication scientists, and sociologists to support the introduction of knowledge and innovation management across the entire enterprise.

Knowledge management at AIRBUS, especially the transfer of knowledge and the learning process, will be supported by different tools and methods. The blended approach works on the principle of a document-based approach where the human-being is in the centre of attention.
